Driver killed, teen injured during rollover crash in Sullivan

SULLIVAN — Police say a 21-year-old man from Keene was killed during a rollover crash in Sullivan on Sunday.

The incident took place on Valley Road at around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday.

According to the report, a 2012 Ford Focus was traveling south when it veered off the road, side-swiped a guardrail, and then collided with a stone wall, causing the vehicle to roll over.

The driver was identified as Taylor Hokanson.

Police say he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 16-year-old juvenile was also in the vehicle and was ejected during the crash.

The juvenile sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene for treatment.

He was then airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon as a precaution.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Sullivan Fire Department, the Keene Fire Department, Rescue Inc. EMS services, and the Keene Police Department.

Police say they are still investigating the crash.
