Portsmouth woman arrested for stabbing incident in Dover

DOVER — A 51-year-old woman from New Hampshire was arrested for assault in Dover yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of an assault involving an edged weapon on Central Avenue at around 10:10 a.m.

Police say they found a 49-year-old woman from Dover who had several lacerations as a result of the assault.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Wentworth-Douglass Hospital where she was treated and released.

The suspect, Lisa K. Perry, of Portsmouth, NH, was known to the victim and the motive for the assault appears to be drug related.

Perry was located in Portsmouth and arrested by Dover Police detectives.

She was charged with first-degree assault.

She refused bail and was transferred to the custody of the Strafford County House of Corrections.

She will be arraigned in the Strafford County Superior Court.
