Motorcycle crash on Huntington Road in Richmond

RICHMOND — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Huntington Road in Richmond this afternoon.

According to the police report, the crash occurred when the motorcycle, operated by 30-year-old Kyle Ryan of Huntington, swerved to avoid a car turning out of a driveway.

Ryan lost control of his 2008 Harley Davidson and drove off the roadway, sustaining minor injuries.

The car, a 2017 Mercedes-Benz Metris driven by 71-year-old Lewis White of Richmond, sustained no damage.

Ryan was transported to UVM Medical Center for treatment.

No other injuries were reported.

State police were assisted by Richmond Rescue, Richmond Fire Department, and Bolton Fire Department.

The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m.

The weather was clear and road conditions were dry.
