Portsmouth resident killed in North Hampton crash

NORTH HAMPTON — Police are investigating a fatal crash that took place in North Hampton yesterday.

The crash took place on Route 1, near Granite Road, at around 9:45 p.m.

According to the report, a 2007 Honda Civic was traveling south when it crossed over the double yellow line, the continuous middle turn lane, a second double yellow line, and struck a 2019 Hyundai Tucson that was traveling north.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Hyundai Tucson, Alexander Price, 25, of Portsmouth, NH, succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

The driver of the Honda Civic, Matthew Meisner, 37, of Hampton, NH, sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Due to the severity of the crash, the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and assumed the lead of the investigation.
