VSP: Topsham man charged after nearly hitting several police cruisers

BRADFORD — Vermont State Police arrested Richard Tucker, 57, of Topsham, on charges of negligent operation and criminal DLS on Tuesday.

According to police, Tucker was driving on Route 25 in Bradford when his vehicle swerved over the center line and nearly collided with several State Police cruisers.

He then continued on Route 25 at an excessive speed.

State Police later located Tucker and stopped him on Flanders Brook Road in Bradford.

After further investigation, Tucker was found to be driving with a criminally suspended license.

Tucker was transported to the Bradford State Police Outpost for processing and later released with a citation to appear in Orange Superior Court to answer for the charges.
