Hydroplane crash on I-89 in Bolton, driver injured

BOLTON — A 43-year-old man from South Burlington was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Bolton this morning.

The crash took place on I-89 at around 6:20 a.m.

According to the report, Philip Breen was traveling south when he hydroplaned on standing water and traveled off the road.

The vehicle then rolled several times before coming to rest down an embankment in the median.

State Police was assisted by Richmond Fire Department, Richmond Rescue, Bolton Fire Department, and Blackfork Emergency Services.

Police say Breen was injured during the crash, and transported to UVM.
