Corinth man charged with aggravated assault on officer

BRADFORD — A Corinth man has been charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and aggravated disorderly conduct.

According to the state police, Edwin Huntley, 48, was pulled over by troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks on Route 25 in Bradford yesterday at around 2:00 p.m.

Before the officer could exit his cruiser, Huntley began acting disorderly and threatening the trooper conducting the stop.

Huntley then allegedly assaulted troopers and resisted arrest before being taken into custody.

He was transported to the Bradford State Police Outpost and issued a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on May 1.
