Man charged with DLS, providing false info to police in Rutland

RUTLAND — A 41-year-old man from Proctor was cited in Rutland early this morning.

Police say they observed a vehicle traveling under the minimum posted speed on US Route 4 at around 12:50 a.m.

Troopers contacted the vehicle and observed extensive damage to the vehicle.

Police identified the driver as Edward Loso Jr.

During the investigation, police say that Loso was required to have an interlock device while operating a motor vehicle, and one was not present.

He was also provided with false information during the investigation.

He was issued a citation to appear in court for the charges of driving with a criminal suspended license, and false information to law enforcement.
