Man arrested for assault in Shaftsbury

SHAFTSBURY — A 29-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Shaftsbury today.

Authorities say they were notified of a family fight that occurred on Church Street at around 3:20 p.m.

Police allege that Jeremy Sanderson, of Shaftsbury, caused bodily injury to a household/family member.

Troopers arrested Sanderson for the offenses of domestic assault and offense committed within the presence of a child.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, he was released on conditions and is required to answer the offenses on April 27.
