Weather update: Nashua braces for a rainy week

NASHUA – Residents of Nashua are preparing for a rainy Sunday as a storm system moves through the area.

According to the National Weather Service, the high temperature for Sunday will be near 49 with an east wind around 10 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph.

The chance of precipitation is 100 percent, with new precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.

The rain is expected to continue into Sunday night, mainly before 2 a.m. The low temperature will be around 44, with an east wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent.

On Monday, there will be a chance of rain before 8 a.m., followed by showers likely, mainly after 2 p.m. The day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 56 and a northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent.

Monday night will bring showers, mainly before 8 pm, and mostly cloudy skies, with a low around 40. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

On Tuesday, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers, with partly sunny skies and a high near 58. Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 37.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high near 59 and a 30 percent chance of showers after 2 pm. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 38 and a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 pm.

Thursday will bring a 40 percent chance of showers, with partly sunny skies and a high near 57.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 39 and a 30 percent chance of showers.

Friday will be partly sunny with a high near 57, and Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 37.

Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 60.
