Manchester Police arrest man with cocaine, loaded gun

MANCHESTER – Manchester Police arrested a 22-year-old man after responding to an alert early Tuesday morning.

Dylan Hughes, of Manchester, was found with cocaine in his pocket and a loaded gun with a scratched-off serial number when police arrived on the scene.

According to police, Hughes was walking in a west side neighborhood when officers approached him.

During the interaction, he moved erratically and changed his statements several times.

As a precaution, he was put in handcuffs.

Police also discovered that Hughes had an active warrant out of Londonderry for Possession of a Controlled Drug.

Hughes was charged with Possession of a Controlled Drug (Cocaine), Felonious Use of a Firearm, and Handgun Changing Marks.

His arraignment is yet to be determined.

The incident occurred on April 19, at approximately 1:30 AM.

Manchester Police officers were responding to a Shot Spotter alert of a single gunshot in the area.
