Woman arrested for assault in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — A 24-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in Montpelier last week.

Authorities say they were notified of a physical altercation at a home on Cummings Street at around 10:50 p.m.

Police allege that the involved party had assaulted a family causing minor injuries, which were evaluated and treated by the Montpelier Ambulance Service.

The involved party had court-ordered conditions of release prohibiting engaging in violent, threatening, or tumultuous behavior.

MPD was assisted on the scene by the Vermont State Police.

Following an investigation, police say that the woman was arrested for domestic assault, violation of conditions of release, and was arrested.

At this time police have not updated their media log to allow the public access to the suspect’s name.
