7 arrested during multi-agency operation in Hillsboro

HILLSBORO — Seven people were arrested during a multi-agency operation in Hillsborough County yesterday.

The operation was part of the Substance Abuse Reduction Grant.

Police say the operation was aimed at serving multiple arrest warrants in Hillsboro, which was successfully executed.

As a result of the operation, a total of 7 individuals were apprehended and taken into custody.

The individuals face various charges, including but not limited to: sale of methamphetamine, sale of crack cocaine, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, and violation of a protection order.

During the operation, K9 Dice was deployed to assist officers.

The highly trained K9 indicated the presence of narcotics during a traffic stop.

The vehicle was seized and impounded pending the application of a search warrant.

Police say the operation is a testament to the commitment of the Hillsboro Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Street Crime Task Force to keep the community safe.

At this time police have not identified the suspects.
