Three-vehicle crash in Shaftsbury

SHAFTSBURY — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash in Shaftsbury today.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 7A at around 2:50 p.m.

According to the report, Elizabeth M. Landry, 22, of Bennington, was traveling east on Buck Hill Road and approaching the intersection to Vermont Route 7A, when she failed to yield to the right of way.

Landry pulled out in front of Michelle E. Harris, 22, of Delmar, NY.

Harris was traveling south and collided into the passenger side of Landry.

Police say the impact of the collision resulted in Harris veering into the northbound lane of travel.

Kathleen A. Meehan, 62, of Shaftsbury, was headed north and collided head-on into Harris.

State Police were assisted by the Bennington Rescue Squad and Walt’s Towing of Bennington.

Police have not listed any injuries during the crash.
