Woman arrested for assault in Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY — A 43-year-old woman was arrested for domestic assault following an incident in Shrewsbury on Tuesday.

Authorities say they were notified of a family fight at around 8:45 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Angela Lafayette, of Shrewsbury, had caused pain and/or bodily injury to a household member.

Lafayette was placed into custody and transported to the Rutland barracks for processing.

She was issued conditions of release to appear in cour yesterday.
