Rutland police charge 5 people during Saturday night shift

RUTLAND – The Rutland Police Department made several arrests during their Saturday night shift.

Officer Rajda charged Joseph Siliski, 33 of Rutland, for heroin possession and violation of conditions of release following a suspicious vehicle investigation.

Siliski was issued a citation and released.

Officer Rice located and arrested Sherry Flower, 57 of Rutland, on an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear on 11 charges of retail theft.

Officer Rice also charged her with cocaine possession after finding suspected cocaine on her person.

Cpl. Rose also charged Flower with retail theft, trespassing, and violation of conditions of release following an earlier report of a theft from a Downtown business.

Flower was lodged in lieu of $200 bail.

Officer Rice charged Nicole LaFrance, 37, with 6 counts of check fraud and theft following an investigation of a stolen checkbook from a local church’s homeless outreach where the stolen checks were used fraudulently.

LaFrance was cited and released.

Officer Rice charged Misti Baker, 42 of Rutland, with driving on a criminally suspended license following a traffic stop.

Baker was cited and released.

Cpl Rose charged Jocelyn Smith, 29 of Burlington, for domestic assault following a fight call.

Smith was issued conditions of release and ordered released on a citation.
