Richford woman charged with stealing more than $30,000 worth of property

SHELDON — A 49-year-old woman from Richford was arrested following an incident in Sheldon.

On March 27, authorities say they were notified of a burglary that occurred on Route 105 at around 7:00 p.m.

Police say large quantities of personal property from inside the home was stolen.

Following an investigation, along with public assistance, police were able to identify a potential suspect yesterday.

Police say they located Crystal Church at her home in Richford.

Police say that Church was in fact associated with the burglary in Sheldon on March 27 and over $30,000 of stolen property were currently in her possession and ultimately recovered by the Vermont State Police.

Church was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans barracks for processing.

She was released on a citation to appear in court for the offenses of burglary, grand larceny, and possession of stolen property.
