QUECHEE — James Luce, a 23-year-old man from Quechee, has been found in violation of his probation and ordered to report to a residential treatment program.

Luce, who has twice been involved in incidents where he was shot, was already serving a suspended sentence after pleading guilty in December to misdemeanors of simple assault and reckless operation of a vehicle.

Luce admitted to using crack and fentanyl following an overdose and in violation of conditions of his release, according to court documents.

The Valley News reports that in 2022, Luce was shot in the face while in a room with other people at the Super 8 Motel in White River Junction.

No charges were ever filed in that incident.
