Law enforcement presence at Lamoille Union Middle School after threat

HYDE PARK — Lamoille County Sheriff Department received information of a threat to Lamoille Union Middle School last night.

Law enforcement officials, including Vermont State Police and Lamoille County Sheriff Department, worked to investigate the threat throughout the night.

Officials have determined that there is no credible threat, but as a precaution, there will be a law enforcement presence at the school until further notice.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department at 802-888-3502.

Students and staff have been declared safe.
