Man shot by police in Manchester

MANCHESTER — Police say a man was shot by police in Manchester on Sunday.

The incident took place in the area of Maple Street at around 11:55 p.m.

Police say one adult man was wounded and is at a local hospital being treated for injuries.

The man is reported to be in stable condition.

No officers have been physically injured, and there is no threat to the public, police say.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and New Hampshire State Police are assisting with the investigation.

Maple Street was closed from Valley Street to Auburn Street for an extended time.
