MANCHESTER — A 46-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Manchester on Thursday.

Authorities say they were notified of a theft on Loring Street.

The victim told police that he had been working in the area of March Avenue when his co-worker saw the suspect going into his truck.

Police say his co-workers began to chase the suspect while the victim checked his truck and found his missing wallet.

The victim also began chasing the suspect and saw him throw a small canister and a plastic bag on the ground.

Shortly afterward, police say 46-year-old Jason Havener of Manchester was stopped by officers in the area of Loring Street, and identified as the suspect.

Both items Havener threw were located and determined to be illegal drugs.

He was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, falsifying evidence, and possession of a controlled drug.

He was scheduled for arraignment today in Hillsborough Superior Court North.
