SWANTON – Vermont State Police arrested Craig Garrow, 62, of Highgate Springs, for driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle into a telephone pole on Maquam Shore Road in Swanton on Monday afternoon.
According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 12:35 p.m. on March 20.
Garrow was the sole occupant of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries in the crash.
He was taken into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.
Upon investigation, police determined that Garrow was operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
He was subsequently released on citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on April 10 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI.
