Woman arrested for DUI, possession of cocaine in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — A 28-year-old woman was arrested following an incident in Montpelier on Friday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Main Street at around 1:25 a.m.

The driver was observed to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

She refused to provide an evidentiary breath sample while being processed as required by Vermont Law.

When a search of her person was conducted incident to arrest, a small amount of cocaine was located.

Following an investigation, it was found that the woman, identified as Meghan Frank, of Montpelie, had committed the crime of driving under the influence and the crime of possession of cocaine.
