HAMPTON — The Hampstead Police Department responded to an alarm activation at Circle K gas station, on Stage Road at around 3 a.m. this morning.

Officer Bozek arrived on scene within minutes and located a newer model red Honda Accord, parked on the side of the store.

Officer Bozek observed two suspects standing behind the vehicle, actively loading stolen goods and they immediately took off on foot.

Officer Bozek requested back-up and received assistance from Atkinson, Plaistow, Sandown, Danville, and Kingston police departments.

Officer Wilson and K9 Reign were called in.

A canine track was conducted, the track ended along Rt 111 and unfortunately the suspects were not located.

A preliminary investigation determined that two suspects used a crowbar to gain entry to the store through the rear door.

The plates on the Honda Accord were stolen and a handgun is visible inside the car.

It was later learned that Pelham, NH Police Department attempted to stop the vehicle an hour earlier at approximately 2 a.m. and it took off on them.

At this time Hampstead Police Department does not have any reason to believe that this incident is related to the burglary at DC Motors the night before, but it cannot be ruled out at this time.

Anyone who may have information related to this burglary is asked to contact the Hampstead Police Department at (603) 329-5700.
