READSBORO — A 31-year-old man from Townshend was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Readsboro today.
Authorities say they were alerted to a crash involving a FedEx box truck on Route 100 at around 4:30 p.m.
The truck had run off the east side of the road before running into a large snowbank and striking a Vermont AOT message board sign.
The crash caused significant damage.
Police say it is believed the cause of this accident is a result of mechanical failure in the truck.
State Police were assisted on the scene by A’s Towing.
