Montpelier man arrested on warrant, selling crack cocaine

MONTPELIER — A 28-year-old man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Montpelier.

Police say they located an individual known to them to have a warrant for his arrest.

Due to indicators of drug use and sale, a Vermont State Police narcotics detection K9 was called to the scene and alerted on the contents of a bag in the involved man’s possession.

A search warrant was applied for and granted, yielding a significant amount of crack cocaine packaged for sale.

Police say the suspect had court-ordered conditions of release prohibiting him from purchasing, possessing, or using regulated drugs.

The suspect was identified as Philip Mensah, 28, of Montpelier,

He was charged with violation of conditions of release, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, and possession of cocaine.
