BENNINGTON — A 21-year-old man from Ludlow was cited for excessive speeding in Bennington today.
Police say they clocked a vehicle traveling 90 miles-per-hour in a posted 55 miles-per-hour speed limit zone.
Troopers were conducting speed enforcement on US Route 7 north at around 11:00 a.m.
The driver, identified as Andres S. Gallardo-Quevedo, was pulled over at that time.
Gallardo-Quevedo was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for speeding with a waiver penalty of $530.
He was released with a citation to answer the charge at a later date and time.
