Driver arrested for DUI, DLS in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — A 51-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested for DUI in Montpelier last week.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Main Street at around 3:50 p.m.

The driver was observed to be impaired by alcohol.

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

Police say the driver is also suspected of driving with a suspended license.

He was processed and released on a citation to appear in court to answer the charges.

At this time, the Montpelier Police Department has not released the name of the suspect, and there is no updated media log to reference the case with.
