Kingston man charged with shooting at vehicle

KINGSTON — A man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Kingston on Saturday.

Authorities say they were contacted by two individuals, requesting to meet an officer at the Kingston Police Department, to report that they had just been threatened with a handgun by an adult male.

According to the victims, the man, who is known to them, fired multiple rounds at the victim’s vehicle as they attempted to escape the threat.

During the investigation at approximately 11:45 p.m, the Kingston Police were able to confirm the location of the suspect at a Kingston home on Coopers Grover Road.

Contact was made with the suspect, who followed all commands by law enforcement, surrendered peacefully, and was taken into custody.

Police say nobody was injured in this incident.

The suspect has been placed in preventative detention and is currently being held at the
Rockingham County Jail, but police have not released his name at this time.

He is facing a slew of charges including domestic violence, and assault with a deadly weapon.
