Three injured in rollover crash in Peru

PERU — A 26-year-old woman from Massachusetts was seriously injured during a single-vehicle crash in Peru early this morning.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 11, near Beechwood Lane, at around 5:00 a.m.

According to the report, Rusheda Robinson, of Hyannis, Massachusetts, was traveling west around a curve to the left in the road prior to the crash.

Police say she drifted toward the westbound embankment, crossed the white fog line, and continued through the snowbank until hitting a power pole off the road.

Three people inside the vehicle were injured.

Two occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were cleared by the Londonderry Rescue Squad.

The third occupant sustained serious bodily injury and had to be transported by the Londonderry Rescue Squad to the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center for further medical evaluation.

Police are still investigating the crash.
