PITTSFORD — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Pittsford on Sunday.

The crash took place on Gorham Bridge Road, near Elm Street at around 6:10 p.m.

According to the report, Matthew Flanders, 41, of Brandon, was stopped on Elm Street, intending to turn onto Gorham Bridge Road, prior to the crash.

Police say Flanders told them that Devin Parsons, 27, of Pittsford, failed to negotiate the turn and came into contact with Flanders broadside, thrusting him approximately 15 feet west of Elm Street.

Police say Flanders told them that Parsons did not stop and continued north on Elm Street.

Responding troopers canvassed the surrounding area and were unsuccessful in locating Parsons.

Yesterday, Parsons contacted the State Police Rutland barracks advising he was the driver of the vehicle.

Police say Parsons was cited to appear in court for the charge at a later date and time.
