Man arrested in Nashua for forgery, theft

NASHUA — A 29-year-old man was arrested in Nashua this morning.

Police say they arrested Jeremy Lurie, of Nashua.

Lurie was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with forgery.

On January 4, a patrol officer of the Uniform Field Operations Bureau took a report of a check forgery for several thousand dollars that occurred on December 28, 2022.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division furthered the investigation and learned that the check had been stolen, altered, and later deposited by Jeremy Lurie at a Nashua bank.

Detectives applied for and were granted an arrest warrant charging Lurie with forgery.

Lurie was also charged with one count of attempted theft by deception, and one count of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer with 2 prior convictions.

Lurie had two prior theft related convictions on his criminal record.
