CHARLOTTE — A 41-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Charlotte last week.

Authorities say they were notified of a potential violation of abuse prevention order that had occurred on February 11.

Throughout the course of the investigation, police say they obtained probable cause that Alexander Dobbs, of Charlotte, violated a protection order by coming within a certain distance of a protected person.

Yesterday, troopers located Dobbs at his home and was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Williston barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of processing, Dobbs was released with conditions set by the court and cited to appear in court today to answer the charge.
