Pedestrian hit by drunk driver in Manchester

MANCHESTER — A 64-year-old man was injured after being hit by a drunk driver in Manchester on Monday.

The incident took place at the intersection of Brook and Chestnut Streets at around 4:10 p.m.

Police say a 2004 Subaru Forester driven by Edmund Joyce, 60, of Goffstown, had collided with a 64-year-old man from Manchester.

The victim had a head injury and was taken to Catholic Medical center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Joyce was arrested and charged with DUI impairment.
