Driver charged after passing cop doing 106 mph in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — A 36-year-old man from New York was arrested following an incident in Westminster on Sunday.

Police say they arrested Maksim Aronov, of Flushing, NY, after the vehicle he was operating passed Sgt. Norton at 106 miles-per-hour.

The is a 65 miles-per-hour speed zone.

Aronov was released at the scene on a citation to appear in court at a later date.

He was also issued a traffic ticket for a civil speeding violation.
