Police looking for Manchester man

MANCHESTER — Police say a 37-year-old man from Manchester was stabbed during an altercation early this morning, and they are looking for a suspect.

The incident took place on February 12, in the rear of 603 Bar and Grill on Elm Street at around 1:00 a.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, the fight was dispersing, but they could hear several people shouting that someone had been stabbed.

Police say they located a man lying on the ground bleeding and fading in and out of consciousness.

The man was suffering from multiple stab wounds and taken to Elliot Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are life-threatening.

Witnesses told police that the victim and several other people had been arguing inside the bar, then later moved out into the alley behind the restaurant where the argument continued.

As the altercation escalated, the victim was stabbed.

Anyone with information leading to the whereabouts of Desmel Cooper, 40, of Manchester, is asked to call Manchester Police at 603-668-8711.
