RUTLAND — A 34-year-old woman from Barre was arrested following an incident in Rutland on Friday.
Authorities say they were notified of an armed robbery that had just occurred at a business on North Main Street.
Police say they met with staff who reported a woman entered the store and made a purchase before threatening the clerk with a weapon and demanding cash.
The woman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.
Police say they were able to locate the suspect at a nearby motel.
Cassandra Keyes was arrested for robbery and drug-related charges.
She was lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correction Facility on a denied bail status.
