Single-vehicle crash with injuries in Arlington

ARLINGTON — A 49-year-old man was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Arlington today.

The crash took place on Maple Hill Road.

The driver was identified as Jeffrey W. Heimbach, of Arlington.

According to the report, Heimbach was traveling south on Maple Hill Road when he lost control due to ice on the road, and crashed head-on into an embankment.

The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and was deemed inoperable from the collision.

He had reported back pain and was transported to Southern Vermont Medical Center for further medical evaluation.

State Police were assisted by the Arlington Fire Department, Arlington Rescue, Manchester Rescue, and Monarchs Towing.
