CORINTH — Two people were arrested following a crash in Corinth on Saturday.

Authorities say they were notified of a single-vehicle crash that took place at a home on Chelsea Road at around 12:10 a.m.

Upon arrival, police identified the driver as Matthew Bashaw, 22, of Barre, and the passenger as Joshua Sanborn, 23, of Barre.

Police say Bashaw provided false information to troopers during the crash investigation and acted disorderly.

During investigative detention, Bashaw caused significant damage to a VSP department vehicle.

The driver was located a short distance away after he fled the crash scene.

Both were transported to the Vermont State Police Bradford Outpost for processing.

Bashaw and Sanborn were issued citations to appear in court at a later date and released.
