WESTFORD — A 29-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant in Westford yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified that a resident was assaulting a staff member at Second Springs North at around 5:45 p.m.

The resident was identified as Kimberly Bakerink, of Westford.

Bakerink was found to have an active instate warrant for failure to appear stemming from a previous simple assault charge.

While attempting to take Bakerink into custody, police say she assaulted them.

She was placed under arrest and lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Center for lack of $200 bail for the original arrest warrant.

She was cited to appear in court on March 9 to answer to the charges of simple assault and assault on law enforcement officers.
