Man robs Work n’ Gear in Manchester

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Manchester on January 16.

Authorities were notified of an armed robbery at Work n’ Gear on South Willow Street at around 6:15 p.m.

Arriving officers spoke with an employee who told them a man had come into the store and went into the fitting room to try on clothing.

When the man came out, he walked behind the counter carrying something metal in his hand and the employee thought it may be a knife.

The suspect told her to give him all the money.

Once he got the cash, he left the store and the employee called police.

Multiple patrol units responded to the business and a perimeter was set up.

A K9 track was conducted but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a white man, 40 to 50 years old, approximately 5’7” tall with a husky build.

He had brown/gray hair, a long brown and gray beard, and was last seen wearing a tan Carhartt vest, Black Wolverine tactical pants, and black Timberland Pro shoes.
