Driver charged with DUI, negligent operation after crash in Sheldon

SHELDON — A 57-year-old man was arrested following a crash in Sheldon yesterday.

The crash took place on Sweet Hollow Road at around 10:00 a.m.

Both drivers involved drove to the VSP St. Albans barracks to provide statements.

Police say they observed indicators of impairment in Roland Lontine, of Sheldon.

Lontine was arrested and processed while at the barracks.

He is facing charges of DUI drugs, negligent operation, and cruelty to a child.

He is ordered to appear in court on January 31.
