Deer causes single-vehicle crash in Pownal

POWNAL — A 30-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Pownal on Thursday.

The crash took place on US Route 7, just north of the Pownal racetrack, at around 5:00 p.m.

According to the report, the vehicle hit a deer.

The driver was identified as Coral Hunt, of Pownal.

Police say that when Hunt was traveling north on US Route 7, a deer ran out in front of the vehicle, resulting in the collision.

There were no reported injuries, and the vehicle was deemed operable.
