Police: Animal cruelty charges filed in Underhill

1 min read

UNDERHILL — A 68-year-old man was cited in Underhill earlier this month.

On December 1, the Animal Control Officer requested a Trooper accompany them to a home on Irish Settlement Road where a dog was reportedly being treated poorly at around 8:35 a.m.

Police say that the dog owner, James Parker, of Underhill, brought the dog outside who appeared to be emaciated with other visual sores on its body.

Parker willingly surrendered the dog to the ACO for a veterinary visit and later fully surrendered him to the town of Underhill.

He was issued a citation to appear in court to answer the charge of cruelty to animals yesterday.
