Worker killed at job site in Halifax

HALIFAX — Police are investigating the death of a Green Mountain Power employee at a job site in Halifax last week.

Authorities were notified that Lucas E. Donahue, 41, of Colrain, Massachusetts, had been seriously injured while working on restoring electric service on December 1.

The outage was caused by trees resting on power lines on Reed Hill Road at around 11:00 a.m.

Police say Donahue was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Following an investigation, police say that this death was accidental and non-suspicious.

No further information is available at this time.
