Medical event causes single-vehicle crash in Pittsford

PITTSFORD — A 63-year-old man was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Pittsford yesterday.

The crash took place on US Route 7, south of Windy Hill Road, at around 3:20 p.m.

Police identified the driver as Dennis Morgan, of Brandon.

Morgan’s vehicle, a 2018 Chevrolet Trax, was located off the east shoulder of the road.

The vehicle left the road and struck a power pole.

Police say the cause of the crash is due to Morgan having experienced a medical event.

Troopers were assisted by Pittsford Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service, Green Mountain Power, and Boondock Motors.
