Police looking for driver who fled traffic stop in West Corinth

WASHINGTON — Police are looking for a driver who ran from them in Washington on Friday.

Authorities were notified of an unresponsive driver in the area of Woodchuck Hollow Road Extension and East Orange Road at around 6:00 p.m.

Police located the vehicle as it drove into a driveway and the driver fled on foot into a wooded area.

Police say another vehicle that was parked in the same driveway later passed them at a high rate of speed.

The driver failed to stop the vehicle once they initiated a traffic stop and fled the scene.

The vehicle was last seen traveling on West Corinth Road heading towards West Corinth.

The truck is described as an older model black Chevy pickup truck with no driver side taillight.
