Driver charged with DUI after hitting pedestrian in Enosburg

ENOSBURG — A 46-year-old man from St. Albans was arrested after hitting a pedestrian in Enosburg on Saturday.

The incident took place on Perley Road at around 3:20 p.m.

Police say that Dylan Jenot, 20, of Winooski, was walking west and Joseph Morits III was traveling west in a 2012 Chevrolet truck prior tot the incident.

Jenot was struck by Mortis in the area of the Berkshire town line,

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries on scene.

Police say Mortis showed signs of impairment while speaking with them.

He was arrested for DUI and negligent operation.

He was transported to the St. Albans barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in court to answer to the charges of DUI and negligent operation.
