Two arrested in Rutland

RUTLAND — Two people were arrested in Rutland on Wednesday.

Police say they located and arrested Laurie Stevens, 53, of Rutland, at the Quality Inn at around 9:05 p.m.

Stevens was wanted by Stowe PD for unlawful trespass with bail issued at $100.

Police say they received information on the whereabouts of Rogers Adika, 39, of Rutland, and located and arrested Adika at the Transit Center.

Adika was wanted by Stowe PD for unlawful trespass with issued bail at $100.

He was also wanted by Bellows Falls PD for failure to appear in court on an original charge of possession of cocaine with issued bail at $1,000.

During a search incident to arrest, Adika was found to be in possession of a felony amount of cocaine.

An additional $2,000 bail was placed on him for this new charge.

Police say both subjects were lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center.
