Police: Driver high on meth and fentanyl charged with DUI following crash in Bradford

BRADFORD — A 47-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a crash in Bradford back in September.

Authorities were notified of the single-vehicle crash on Goshen Road at around 9:35 p.m.

Police allege the driver, Christopher P. Kirk, had asked the passenger to switch places.

Police say Kirk had been the driver and that he threw drug paraphernalia into the bushes near the crash scene.

Upon speaking with Kirk, police say they observed several signs of impairment.

He was arrested for suspicion of DUI – drugs and brought to the St. Johnsbury barracks.

Following evidentiary testing, it was found that Kirk was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl.

He was issued a citation to appear in court and brought to the Northeast Correctional Facility for Detox.
